World Autism Awareness Day - April 2, 2017

The 9th annual World Autism Awareness Day was on April 2, 2017. Every year, autism organizations around the world celebrate the recognition of UN sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day/April, World Autism Month. Variety of events, especially awareness-raising events, are held on this day and during the month of April around the world.

The Archdiocesan Office for Human Development continues to manage the Special Needs Learning Centre Nocational Training Centre responding to some needs of people with autism spectrum disorder.

How will we celebrate this day/month? We are organizing several events in some parishes (and others subject to confirmation). The main event will be on:

April 22-Church of the Assumption

Event: Eucharistic Celebration at 10am
Followed by Talk & Video Presentation on Special Needs Learning CentreNocational Training Centre
Fellowship

Time: 10.00am - 1.00pm


We invite you to join in the events as indicated in order to increase understanding and acceptance and support people living with autism. May I request that the event be announced in your respective parish/included in the bulletin.
