The AOHD Logo

The pair of hands symbolises our willingness to be proactive instruments of God actualise God’s reign of love, truth and justice here on earth.

The doves remind us that all of us are called to be agents of peace and reconciliation in a world which is so torn apart by war, disharmony and suffering.

We, as agents of integral human development, are committed to promoting solidarity with believers of other religions, cultures and especially the poor, towards this cause.

The symbol of the cross serves to remind all Christians that the Reign of God can only come about if all of us take up our crosses and walk in the footsteps of Christ. Together, we can build a better world.

“Everyone has a contribution to make to the whole of society, everyone has something particular to offer that could enable people to live together. No one may be excluded from contributing to the good of all.” -Pope Francis

“We work hard not to fall in to a shallow faith that keeps us from speaking Truth in favour of only works. ‘Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary’.” – Francis of Assisi
