MINISTRY FOR MIGRANTS & ITINERANTS (MMI)

MMI is under the umbrella of AOHD, overseen by a coordinator and an Ecclesiastical Assistant (EA). MMI’s primary responsibilities are to assist, equip, and empower parish migrant ministries (PMM) and migrant leaders’ communities (MLC) to take up their roles and support activities based on their needs. We are currently journeying with the Myanmar Catholic Community (MCCM), Philippines Catholic Community, Komunitas Katolik Indonesia (KKI), and Vietnamese Catholic Community (VCCM), with plans to extend to more countries in the near future.

MMI’s VISION And MISSION

To be witnesses of Christ’s love and hope for migrants and itinerants, regardless of their documented status, through our services, empowering lives, holistic development, justice and peace, and collaborating with PMM (Parish Migrant Ministry) at various parishes, migrant leaders from various countries, and Catholic agencies in providing services to the vulnerable.

Our VALUES

To be Hospitable (Leviticus 19:33-34), To show Compassion (Isaiah 49:10), To render Encouragement (1 John 4:12) and To promote Unification (1 Peter 3:8-9)
